Dear Friends,
Bob Kane’s newest creations will be featured in this, his 24th exhibition at the
Harmon Meek Gallery, January 31 - February 12. Everyone who has acquired his paintings
in the past should not only feel great about the pleasure these works have brought into
their homes, but also should feel proud of what they have done to support and artist’s
career for nearly a quarter of a century. It truly is a two way street, patrons get great
paintings, and the artist gets to continue his quest towards the next great work of art.
Bob wanted us to recognize the support of one of the greatest American patrons of the arts,
Edward Broida, who donated his collection to the Museum of Modern Art in NYC for the general
public to enjoy. Every year for nearly sixteen years Broida would charter a private plane to
attend Bob’s show and to acquire new paintings. His love of Bob’s work will continue to provide
enjoyment to present and future visitors to MOMA.
The Harmon-Meek Gallery is open Monday through Friday, 10 am to 5pm. We hope you can join us for this
and the other exhibitions that are part of this season’s scheduled exhibitions.
As always, works by any of our artists are available for show by request or appointment.
Please call or stop by.
Warm regards,
J. William Meek III Owner-Director
