Kirk Tatom and Small Works of Art
November 22* - December 30, 2009
|
"Lifting Haze Triptich" by Kirk Tatom oil on panel 16"x36" 2009
|
|
"Monique" bu Hunt Slonem oil on wood 10"x8" 2009
|
|
Our Fourth show for California artist Kirk Tatom will feature many works inspired by his summer stay in England. These new oils combined with his paintings of California are very
fine examples of his unique talent for depicting landscapes in a most intriguing manner. We are therefore quite pleased with the show we have to offer to our many friends and supporters.
The annual "Small Works of Art" exhibition is a tradition and each year brings a different emphasis as we never know what our artists will surprise us with, which often becomes focal points
of the exhibition. This year the treat is an exceptional group of new Richard Segalmand and Robert Vickrey works. This is one of the best fall collections we have ever had prior
to each artist's winter season formal exhibitions.

|
|
Bob Kane: Paintings of Italy & France
January 31* - February 13, 2010
|
"Marincanto" by Bob Kane oil on canvas 50"x40" 2008
|
|
|
Bob Kane has been featured with one man shows annually at the gallery since 1987, and is a special visual treat of color with each show. Honored last year with two of
his paintings going into the permanent collection of MOMA in New York City (gift of the Edward Broida collection), Kane's life work was written about several years ago by
museum director Richard Boyle and published by international publisher Rizzoli. A new book about Audrey Hepburn tells of the actor's devotion to Bob Kane's work. Virtually
all of his collectors say the say thing about how his work affects their lives in a positive manner.

Noted American Master Will Barnet will be featured for his fourth annual show in Naples, coming after the major seven decade
exhibition hosted by the Patty & Jay Baker Naples Museum of Art last April. Barnet had his first show at the gallery in 1974. The
artist's contributions to the art world are numerous and the respect paid to him by other artists, collectors, and museum personnel is
quite significant. This exhibition will feature many works never previously exhibited from 1962 to present.

While known for his figures on Naples beaches, this year's show will include many of his Coney Island beach scenes as well. Represented in more than thirty museum collections, Segalman often extends his knowledge with artist workshops such as the one he will do for The von Liebig Art Center in Naples, just prior to this show opening.

Adolf Dehn: Landscapes from Around the World
April 11* - April 30, 2010
|
"Pennsylvania Farms" by Adolf Dehn Casein Tempera 36"x48" 1948
|
|
Adolf Dehn (1895-1968), while primarily known as Minnesota's contribution to "American Regionalism"
of the 1930s and 1940s, actually traveled extensively in this country and abroad from the 1920s until
the late 1960s. This exhibition will deliver various aspects of his creativeness in four media, ink
drawing, watercolor, casein tempera, and lithography. Much of his life was spent in New York City
and he still holds the record for being invited to more Whitney Museum of American Art Annual and
Bienniel exhibitions than any other artist. He managed to visit places which are currently on everyone's
mind, such as Venezuela (1940s) and Afghanistan (1950s), but also did subjects in England, Austria and
France in the 1920s and 1930s and in Italy in the 1960s. His American landscapes were of the midwest,
southwest, northeast, Colorado, Florida, and Pennsylvania.
